Date
2023 - Present
Location
University of Wisconsin - Stout
Experienced lecturer at the collegiate level. I have been teaching full-time at UW-Stout amongst my freelance and Lofi Girl projects for over two years now.
Although I do not have my master's degree, I consider myself a professor of practice. I educate with a focus on professional application, treating even the newest student as a colleague and taking their skill growth seriously.
I am grateful for the tutelage of my advisors and mentors, and I hope to continue to learn and grow as a creator by staying fresh via teaching.
I teach the following classes at UW-Stout:
DES 118 - Fundamentals of Animation
Internalizing the twelve principles and growing observation skills via 2D and/or stop-motion animation.
DES 176 - Introduction to Visual Narrative
Finding time-based rhythm and cadence amongst a language of cinematic understandings.
DES 205 - Design Drawing and Concept Visualization
Enhancing technical drawing skills through the use of perspective and pen in the creation of props, vehicles and exteriors.
I am available for speaking occasions upon request, should my academic schedule allow.
